Scientific group led by Vinnichenko M.Ya. received a grant from the Russian Science Foundation “Optical phenomena in semiconductor micro- and nanostructures in strong electric fields”
Maxim Vinnichenko told us about the upcoming project:
“The project is aimed at carrying out complex experimental and theoretical studies of the processes of interaction of terahertz and infrared radiation with semiconductor nanostructures in strong electric fields.
The relevance of the proposed research is due to the fact that the operation of modern semiconductor devices (diodes, transistors, lasers, LEDs) often occurs under highly non-equilibrium conditions associated with the heating of charge carriers in an electric field.”
